Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
An Art Ross Trophy winner with pairs also garnered from the Lady Byng and Lester B Pearson categories, Team Canada was fortunate to be graced by the presence of Marcel Dionne on a number of international occasions, with the Drummondville native seeing action at both the 1972 Summit Series and 1976 Canada Cup. We have the jersey that hails from the first set of Team Canada reds, worn by Dionne early in the tournament including pre-tournament practices and inter-squad match-ups. This set has the cross-over neck but not the reinforced elbows. AK size 42 tagging remains affixed to the collar, with all identifiers on the attractive red sweater rubberized, including the classic half-maple leaf team crest along with the sleeve and verso numbers and letters.
Game-wear includes a few marks on the lower front including a pair that break through the rubberized team crest, along with a small slit over the right sleeve near the number.
