Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
The 3rd overall pick in the 1984 NBA draft, Michael Jordan averaged 28.2 ppg on 51.5% shooting in his rookie campaign, quickly elevating his status which would include being voted into the All-Star game along with a Sports Illustrated cover appearance and the title of Rookie of the Year. This limited-edition Michael Jordan signed ROY jersey is a double XL, and it was produced by Mitchell and Ness. Tagging appears along the collar, with a Hardwood Classics patch and date swatch on the lower front. All identifiers are rubberized, including “Jordan” arching on verso along with “23”. Michael has signed along the lower left with a gorgeous flowing example, and it’s been hand-numbered "56/223". A UDA COA numbered BAM00273 will accompany, along with the original Upper Deck box.
“Michael Jordan” also appears embroidered along the lower front with “1985 NBA Rookie of the Year” and his impressive stats. The signature is large and absolutely flawless, perfect for display, while the jersey itself remains in beautiful condition. The accompanying original box shows some light wear, with clear tape affixed along the opening.
