Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
Perhaps the greatest Montreal Canadien ever, Maurice Richard continues to be venerated in a city loaded with past hockey legends, forever remaining atop that abundant pile. We have an example of the pin with attached ribbon that hails from “Maurice Richard Night”, where the superstar was honored at the Montreal Forum on the 17th of February, 1951. Featuring a sepia-toned image of Richard all smiles, “Basilieres Montreal” appears along the lower edge, with the pin on reverse fully intact. The firmly attached 5” white ribbon features the particulars listed in red, with just a few fold lines present along with light toning. The pin itself exhibits impeccable clarity, with minimal discolouration along the reverse.
