Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
Hailing from the inaugural season that witnessed the Clarence Campbell Trophy first awarded, we have Gary Dornhoefer’s Campbell bowl that was presented to the Kitchener native for the Flyers status as Western Division Champions in 1967-68. Standing at just under 11” in height, a miniature plated Campbell trophy sits atop a finished 3” hexagonal wooden base. With chased features on the lid and bottom, engraved text proclaims “Philadelphia Flyers 1967-68 Gary Dornhoefer”, while the back has “Clarence S. Campbell Bowl 1968”. The trophy remains in good condition, with some tarnish and surface wear present. There is also loss along the edge of both the rim and lid, as well as on the handles, finial and near the text on the front section.
