The first NHL All-Star Game to employ a fantasy draft with team-selected captains, the 2011 contest was the 58th example of the popular event, with Team Staal taking on Team Lidstrom at the RBC Center in Raleigh North Carolina. Team Lidstrom was able to squeak out an 11-10 victory in the high-scoring affair. This Team Staal jersey was worn in the first period by David Backes, and it’s been signed. A Reebok name band along with size tagging is affixed to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines respectively. Featuring a gorgeous two-tone NHL shield crest, the solid white sweater has been accented with tri-colour numbers, along with matching stars along the lower front and above each cuff. The important 2011 NHL All-Star Game crest resides over the right shoulder along with a Blues patch over the left, while the NHLPA crest sits on the back bottom hem. With no discernible game-wear, there is some light staining around the outline of the nameplate. Backes has added an attractive black marker signature between the numbers on verso, and it appears slightly faint, probably due to a weak marker. A MeiGray patch numbered H05700 sits on the inside hem, and according to their population report, the jersey is an "NHLPA Set / White - Period 1" example. An LOA from the NHLPA will accompany.
