Despite the fact that Major League Baseball considered Montreal as a leading candidate to acquire the St. Louis Browns - had the team relocated in 1933, it would still be over three decades before Warren Giles and the National League announced plans for expansion in 1968, with both Montreal and San Diego added to the fray. This Montreal Expos ticket stub hails from the inaugural home game at Jarry Park in 1969. At just under 2 ½” x 5 ½”, the bleacher seat stub features the particulars listed in both French and English, with the home schedule for the first season on the reverse. Exhibiting light surface and corner wear, the stub remains in very good condition, ideal for display. There is also some light toning to the reverse worth mentioning.
