Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/9/2016
From their first of three seasons in the OHL, we have a pair of Detroit Junior Red Wings jerseys worn by Bob Wren and Bill McCauley in 1992-93. Home and away examples, each jersey has Maska Ultrafil as well as size tagging along the collar, with embroidered CCM and CHL crests on the bottom back hem. Styled with the familiar Red Wings crest with “Jr. Wings” above in black, each jersey also has the Memorial Cup 75th anniversary patch over the right breast. We should note that the McCauley jersey shows evidence of a former nameplate, while the example worn by Wren has his name sewn directly onto the garment. Both show nice use with dark marks present on the lower fronts and sleeves, along with some loose threading to the sleeve numbers on the McCauley jersey.
