This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/21/2020
The witness to the hundreds of games played by Henri Richard at the Montreal Forum throughout his legendary career which spanned two decades and including 11 Stanley Cup championships, this single blue seat signed by the superstar hails from the iconic venue, and was removed from the upper level after the final historic game was played, on March 11, 1996. At approx 36” in height, Henri’s famous “16” is stenciled in white on the seat back, with decals added listing his Stanley Cup wins, with a Habs logo over the upper right. The legs both sport embossed red Habs' logos with “1924-96”, with two 24” metal runners on each side serving as a base. Henri has signed over the upper left section of the seat back in thin marker, with the signature displaying well. An LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
The seat cushion remains intact with no rips or unsightly marks, with a few marks to the reverse of the seat back, with some wear to the blue paint along edges.
