Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
Perhaps the all-time greatest Russian player, Sergei Fedorov has been the recipient of the Frank J. Selke, Lester B. Pearson and Hart Memorial Trophies, not to mention 9 All-Star Game appearances (NHL/KHL) and 3 Stanley Cup Championships. This Soviet National Team jersey was worn by Fedorov in the late-1980s. Void of any tagging, the mesh jersey features screened-on identifiers including the CCCP logo along with the nameplate and numbers. The Russian Federation patch remains affixed, sitting just above the right breast. An LOA will accompany this attractive and important garment.
Game-wear consists of a number of heavy stick marks on the lower front, back and sleeves, with some possible red goal post paint transfer on the front lower band. There is also a pair of team repairs, with one on the middle front, the other to the left of the “2” on the reverse.
