Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
One of the most highly touted junior players in history, we have a pair of tough-to-find Eric Lindros sticks for your consideration. From his rookie season we have a Titan TPM 3020 game-used stick with Eric’s tape on the custom-shaved handle, with handwritten “88” along with pattern codes of “3-115”. The stick has “89 Oshawa Generals 90” handwritten on the blade along with a signature across the heel, and a date code of “9 Fev 1990”. Also included is a 1991-92 Eric Lindros game-issued stick.
The 1991-92 stick was originally obtained from an Oshawa Generals team staff member. According to our consignor, the team staffer informed him that Eric used KOHO sticks during this period, but due to his Titan endorsement, the stick was painted with Titan graphics as both makers were owned by the same company. In solid black from top to bottom, the KOHO/Titan stick has “E. Lindros” midway up the shaft along with a shaved and rounded custom handle. The black finish was chipped off in a few spots by a Generals staffer to show it was actually a KOHO stick underneath, most notably on both sides of the shaft on the lower section. Despite these minor issues, the stick remains in excellent condition and is perfect for display. The 1989-90 stick show nice use with marks and abrasions present and also has residue on the blade showing that it was formerly taped. The edges of the shaft have also been shaved down.
