Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
This 1960’s retro-style Saskatchewan Roughriders jersey was worn by Gene Makowsky in the 2009 Labour Day Classic against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. A date and size label of “09-48” is affixed beneath the collar, with the CFL “Retro 1960’s” crest on the front neckline. Sponsor patches from Rona and Scotiabank sit over the right and left breasts respectively, with an additional Reebok patch along the back neckline. Considering its limited use, game wear is light, with some loose threading around the right armpit along with marks on the front numbers. Void of a back nameplate just like the originals, the jersey was originally purchased through the Riders/CFL Auction and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from the Roughriders.
