Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
One of the first examples of team logo’s used on game pucks, this 1958-62 Art Ross Tyer NHL puck features a Detroit Red Wings emblem on front, with the NHL Tyer patent number label on verso. Showcasing just honest use, the vintage puck’s rubberized logos both remain complete, with wear along with loss to parts of the Red Wings logo, especially at the center and on the left hand side. The patent label shows a few scratches and marks, as well as wear along the edges. With just surface wear along the edges of both sides, the puck remains in very good condition with no large chips or grooves present.
