Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
Originally drafted 1st overall by the Minnesota North Stars in 1988, Mike Modano would stay with the franchise for two decades, which included leading Dallas to their first Stanley Cup win in 1999. This Easton Synergy stick was game-used by Modano in the early-2000s. With the original tape job on the handle/knob, “Modano” and “9” appear on the upper shaft in factory graphics. The tape has been removed from the blade exposing a large vertical crack to the back side, along with a few chunks missing near the heel section. We should also note that the stick has had a layer of stickum applied along the length of the shaft, and it remains very sticky.
