Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
No stranger to awarded hardware, the issuing of trophies to Martin Brodeur has, not surprisingly, taken place from literally as early as he was able to skate. This lot features one of those pre-NHL awards, with Martin’s 1987-88 Montreal Bantam best goalie of the tournament trophy. At roughly 6” x 9”, the wooden award plaque features a gold-coloured medallion with a generic hockey scene and laurel wreaths. A plate sits beneath listing the particulars in French which translates to "Presented to Martin Brodeur, best goalie of the 15th bantam tournament of the city of Montreal East, February 21st 1988". There are some scratches to the name plate, along with wear at the bottom of the plaque. An LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
