Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
Nifty little black and white encapsulated goodies here are from western Canada and originally came with Paulin's Premium Hockey Bars, with a set of 70 cards redeemable back in the day for either a hockey stick or a box of chocolates, (and later, baseball bats, balls and gloves). Cards sent to the Paulin Chambers Company, (head office and factory were in Winnipeg), were either punched and/or stamped before being returned to collectors. Then future New York American Johnny Sheppard's card #47 is the condition leader of this group, slabbed VG-EX+ 4.5 by PSA, the same as 56-Bob Armstrong. At VG-EX 4 are six cards; 17-Wilf L'Heureux, 18-Danny Cox, 19-Bill Brydge, (another who would toil for the NY Americans), 44-Ty Arbour, 64-Bernie Morris and 67-Cully Wilson, the latter featuring a stamp on the reverse. Also stamped and completing the ensemble is 61-Eddie Oatman at VG 3.
