This highly desirable lot contains seven different World Series programs, along with phantom Series covers for 1964 and 1967. We have a pair from 1964 that witnessed the dominant Yankees loose in seven games to the St. Louis Cardinals. Next we have a pair from 1967 that also witnessed the Cardinals winning in seven, this time defeating the Boston Red Sox. Lastly we have a pair of programs from the following year that again went seven games, with the Cards this time on the losing end, defeated by the Detroit Tigers.
With all programs roughly 8 ¼” x 11 ¼” or just slightly smaller, the condition for each is as follows. 1) 1964 program issued for Busch Stadium, unscored. With just general handling wear including toning, surface dings and light spine wear, the program remains in pleasing condition. 2) 1964 program issued for Yankee Stadium, unscored. With just general handling wear including toning, surface dings and spine wear along with a small stain in the upper left, the interior remains clean with just some toning. 3) 1967 program issued for Fenway Park, unscored. With just general handling wear, the program remains in pleasing condition. 4) 1967 program issued for Busch Stadium, unscored. With just general handling wear including wear to the spine, the interior remains clean and problem free. 5) 1968 program issued for Tiger Stadium, unscored. With just general handling wear including surface wrinkles to the back cover, the program remains in pleasing condition. 6) 1968 program issued for Busch Stadium, unscored. With general wear to the cover, the spine shows heavier wear, with some toning and surface dents to the front and back. The interior remains clean. Both phantom program covers remain in beautiful condition.
