A four-time Stanley Cup winner while playing with Detroit in parts of fourteen seasons, Kirk Maltby is currently a scout in the Motor City. This Red Wings jersey was worn by Maltby in his first season in Motown, 1995-96. CCM, size and Eastside tagging remains affixed to the collar, with embroidered NHL and CCM patches on the back bottom hem. Styled with tackle twill numbers and letters, the jersey features an attractive and classic winged wheel team crest with the back name letters placed directly onto the sweater. The team patch sits on the inside hem, along with an emblem for the Red Wings 70th anniversary.
Game wear includes dark marks and board burns on both sleeves, along with some blue paint transfer on the left sleeve’s number. There is also a slit on the left sleeve, and a small hole at the top of the “T” of Maltby. Originally obtained in a trade with the Oilers on March 20th 1996, Maltby played 6 regular season games and 8 playoffs games for Detroit in 1995-96.
