A long-time NHL journeyman, Lee Norwood spent time with Calgary, St. Louis, Washington, New Jersey, Hartford and Detroit. This Detroit Red Wings jersey was worn by Norwood in circa 1988-89. The Maska Ultrafil tag remains tightly affixed to the collar, with embroidered and rubberized CCM and Eastside patches on the lower hem respectively. Accented with tackle twill numbers and letters and a gorgeous and classic winged-wheel team crest, the garment also has the back name affixed directly onto the sweater. Game-wear includes a number of dark marks on the lower front, along with some light staining around the team crest. The threading to the back “2” is also loose at bottom.
This was the style jersey worn by the Red Wings in 1987-88 and 1988-89. We should also note that an additional “Eastside” rubberized logo has been placed on the front bottom hem. This was most likely an error that was done during the garment’s initial production.
