Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
Currently an analyst for Sportsnet on Montreal Canadiens' broadcasts, Jason York saw action in a number of leagues throughout his career including the Swiss-A, OHL, AHL and of course, the NHL. This Detroit Red Wings jersey was worn by York in 1992-93. Maska, size and Eastside tagging remains affixed to the collar, with embroidered NHL and CCM patches on the back bottom hem. Styled with tackle twill numbers and letters, the jersey features an attractive and classic winged wheel team crest with the back name letters placed directly onto the sweater. The Stanley Cup centennial patch sits over the right breast, while the team stamp has been placed on the inside hem.
York only played in 2 games for the Red Wings in 1992-93, limiting the visible game-wear to only a few marks that are present on the left sleeve.
