Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
This collection of goalie gear includes some neatly painted street masks, along with a few vintage cage examples, and two pairs of vintage pads, totaling 13 items. We have a Cooper Weeks vintage cage-style mask, a pair of 1940’s “eye” masks made by Rawlings and Wilson, and a pair of fibrosport-type masks. There are also six different street masks, with examples painted to resemble models worn by Vanbiesbrouck, Elliott, Potvin, and Brian Hayward. Both sets of goalie pads were made by Cooper, and they show heavy use, with abrasions, material loss and surface wear. The street masks all remain in beautiful displayable condition, all with intact padding and strapping. The two “eye” masks remain in gorgeous condition, with only very light wear present.
