Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
Defenceman Alexei Gusarov spent 11 seasons in the NHL, almost entirely with the Quebec/Colorado franchise, following nearly a decade playing in his native Russia. Alexei’s mostly mesh “UCKA” jersey has a Finnish “Kisapukuoy” company tag in the neck, along with an “L 54-56” size tag. Everything is screened-on and rubberized, including the surname in Russian across a mesh nameplate. Good game use includes stick marks, burns, blue paint transfer and four small holes on the front, along with a half dozen holes on the right sleeve. Also, red board paint on both sleeves and two small slices in the knit striping on the back. The edges of the rubberized identifiers have also “curled in” somewhat.
