Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
From the 16th Olympic Hockey Championship that took place in Calgary in 1988, we have Merlin Malinowski’s worn Team Canada jersey, and it’s been photo-matched. Maska Air-Knit tagging remains affixed to the collar, with a covered CCM patch on the back bottom hem. Featuring tackle twill numbers with an embroidered team crest, there are also matching Canada crests over both shoulders. Game-use on the garment is heavy, with a number of large dark marks on the front and sleeves along with board burns. There are also areas of blue paint transfer present on both sleeves. With 3 goals and 5 points in 8 games played for Malinowski, the jersey has been photo-matched to the black mark beneath the team logo on the left sleeve.
