Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
Accurately called “The Russian Rocket”, Pavel Bure spent a dozen years in the NHL, split between Vancouver, Florida and the Rangers. This Cooper stick was used by Bure while with the Canucks in his rookie season of 1991-92. “Bure” appears on the shaft of this “Player’s Model” stick in factory graphics, with the original tape on the upper shaft intact. The tape on the blade appears longer than usually seen for rookie-era Bure gamers, with additional tape likely added to cover the crack that’s present near the tip. With the original striping sticker in place on the lower shaft, the stick remains in excellent condition, exhibiting just light use.
