Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
From the man traded from Cincinnati to the Expos in 1984 for legendary Pete Pose comes infielder Tom Lawless' 1984 Expos game-worn jersey, a jersey which had been recycled by an Expos farm team, with the former "Expos" nameplate removed from the jersey and the surname "Lawless" original from then. This gamer, with slight puckering on the Expos team crest, shows light staining on the front and on the inside collar, as well as marks around the outline of the former nameplate. A small hole on the back is also to note. Lawless would break into the bigs with Cincinnati in 1982, and along with the Reds and Expos, would also suit up for the Cards and Jays. He would retire in 1990.
The jersey is tagged on the inside hem with 2 patches – an "Ex 84" patch and a "Rawlings" with washing instructions and size "42", plus an adjoining flap that reads as "Set 1 1984". On the inside collar is a handwritten "113 L".
