Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
Team captain Scott Stevens captured Conn Smythe honors at the close of the 2000 Stanley Cup Playoffs, leading his New Jersey Devils to their second Cup victory in a six-game series against the Dallas Stars. The players and management of the 1999-2000 Championship team were forced to make room in their trophy cases for yet another of these silver plate replicas of Lord Stanley's Cup. Martin Brodeur's engraved name leads the list of talent along with those of Jason Arnott, Patrick Elias, Scott Gomez, Bobby Holik, Claude Lemieux, Alexander Mogilny, Scott Niedermayer, Scott Stevens, Petr Sykora and more. This unawarded example, produced by Boffey, is identical to the ones awarded to each member of the victorious New Jersey Devils by the National Hockey League in a tradition dating back to 1957. Brown felt covers the bottom of the black wood base. In near mint condition with LOA.
