Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
The NHL’s all-time leading scorer for defenceman upon his retirement in 1966, Bill Gadsby saw action in over 1,200 contests with three different NHL clubs including New York, and is ranked No. 63 all-time in the 2009 book “100 Ranger Greats”. This Hockey Hall of Fame 14K gold and diamond induction ring was presented to the Calgary native in 1970. Size 10 with a weight of approx 14 grams, a gold and enamel HOF logo sits centered over the top, with the original encompassing black ring replaced by Gadsby with 16 diamonds. The inner band is stamped “14K”, with “WM. A. Gadsby” and “June 1970” engraved. Displaying wonderfully with moderate wear from use including scratches over the band and shanks, the ring represents an especially noteworthy Hall of Fame career and will be accompanied by a Classic Auctions LOA.
