Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016

Vintage cream-colored wool uniform with black and orange accenting and "CR" in ancient felt script decorating the chest. Felt-fashioned number "11" stitched onto the back is surrounded by numerous very small holes… probably due to poor storage and insects. This is quite common on these old wool uniforms and it does not detract from the beauty and display value of the sweater in any way. Tagging in the collar is by Warren Brothers of St. Catherines, Ontario. Best is the high neck styling that dates it to the Twenties or earlier and the quality, cresting and numbering leads us to believe that this shirt is from a well-organized team, perhaps an upper-level school. An attractive and historic specimen.
