Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021

Witnessing fellow HOF netminder Patrick Roy make NHL history as the first to secure 500 career wins while wielding the offered signed lumber, Ed Belfour used this stick against St Patrick and the Colorado Avalanche on Dec 26, 2001. Losing the Boxing Day match 2-0, Belfour saved 13 of his 15 shots, with Alex Tanguay and Milan Hejduk scoring the goals. A Christian model with “Belfour” stamped, his trademark eagle has been affixed at the heel, with the original black tape on the blade and handle, and white over the knob. The original striping accent is also intact beneath the tape on the handle, with Belfour adding a silver sharpie signature at the heel just beneath the eagle. Both sides of the blade tape have been waxed along the base, with "Game Used" handwritten on the underside of the upper shaft along with "12/26 Colorado" written to the taped knob just above. Light game-use is exhibited, with wear to the underside of the blade and a few marks to the shaft. Hailing from his personal collection, a signed LOA from the Ed Belfour will accompany.
