Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction November 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/3/2024
Earning his fourth and final William M. Jennings Trophy during his time with Dallas in 1999 - a season that also witnessed the Stars and HOFer capture a Stanley Cup championship, Ed Belfour would spend five seasons in Texas which included a trio of appearances at the NHL All-Star Game. From his time with the Stars in the early-2000s, we have a stick used by the superstar netminder. A Christian model with “Belfour” stamped, his trademark eagle has been added over the heel, with the original black tape on the blade and handle, plus white over the knob. Retaining its original striping accent intact over the bottom portion of the shaft that is partially covered by the handle tape, the stick shows just light game-use via a number of small marks and abrasions throughout including marks over both sides of the blade tape and red post paint transfer marks throughout. Also sporting some wear and tear along the bottom edge of the blade, the stick hails directly from Belfour's personal collection and is accompanied by his signed LOA.
