Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
The year 2006 was Jacques Villeneuve’s last season in Formula One. He participated in only 12 of 18 races as his season ended after a heavy crash at the German Grand Prix. Still in only a partial season he managed to finish 15th overall in the World Championship with a best finish of 6th at the Spanish Grand Prix.
Bell Racing Europe painted this HP3 helmet and tagged it 2006-09 making it one of, if not the last, helmet ever used by Jacques in Formula 1 competition. The drink tube and HANS clips remain but the race radio has been removed. The helmet shows moderate wear inside and out and a number of tear-offs still remain on the visor.
This is a wonderful helmet from the son of Canada’s racing royal family and would be a great addition to any racing collection. This item is from Jacques Villeneuve’s personal collection and will come with his signed LOA.
