Featuring Canada’s beloved baseball team, we have a great group of Toronto Blue Jays items, spanning from the 1990s and early-2000s. We have a pair of Blue Jays batting helmets, with an example attributed to Craig Grebeck, along with six baseball bats and a pair of signed Blue Jays jerseys. The bats include a 1992 World Series black bat, a limited-edition “1992 World Champions” souvenir bat, a Carlos Delgado signed bat and three Turner Ward signed bats. One of the offered jerseys has been signed by the 1999 Jays, while the other example features the 2003 edition of the club.
A complete breakdown for each of the Toronto Blue Jays items in this lot is as follows. 1) Jays batting helmet attributed to Craig Grebeck. From circa 2001, the solid blue helmet features the Jays alternate logo on the front, with “4” along the reverse along with an MLB decal. Great use is exhibited, with a number of marks and scratches present along the surface, with an MLB hologram numbered “0850353968” sitting affixed to the interior. 2) Unattributed Jays batting helmet. Originating from circa-1991, the two-tone helmet features a Jays decal along the front portion, with the sizing sticker still in place along the interior. Moderate use is shown, with marks on the surface along with scratches. 3) Blue Jays signed jersey. A Wilson model with “99” date swatch, the jersey has been styled with a partially embroidered tackle twill team crest, with no verso number. 31 members from 1999 have signed across the front section in black marker, with the signatures displaying beautifully. Included are Darrin Fletcher, Carlos Delgado, Homer Bush, Tony Batista, Shannon Stewart, Jose Cruz, Shawn Green, Norberto Martin, David Wells, Pat Hentgen, Billy Koch, John Frascatore, Willie Greene and others. 4) Blue Jays signed jersey. A Majestic model with sizing, an alternate crest sits over the left sleeve. The jersey has been styled with a dual-layer tackle twill team crest, with no verso number. 24 members from 2003 have signed across the front section in black marker, with the signatures displaying beautifully. Included are Greg Myers, Chris Woodward, Eric Hinske, Vernon Wells, Reed Johnson, Frank Catalanotto, Bobby Kielty, Roy Halladay, Kelvim Escobar and others. 5) 1992 World Series black presentation bat. Given to members of winning World Series clubs, each member's name is engraved with gold foil, with those having contracts with Hillerich & Bradsby having their names appearing as signatures, while the names of members without H&B contracts appear in block letter form. The 35” bat remains in gorgeous condition, with some surface loss around the knob. 6)1992 World Champions souvenir bat. At 34”, the blonde Rawlings bat features Blue Jays and MLB logos along with “1992 World Champions”. Numbered “393 of 1992”, the bat remains in almost flawless condition. 7) Carlos Delgado signed Blue Jays bat. At 34”, the Cooper bat features a Blue Jays decal, along with “Cooper Pro 100” and “Professional C271” across the barrel. Delgado has signed in black marker, and the signature displays well. 8 & 9) Turner Ward signed bats. A pair of Louisville block letter Ward bats, each features gorgeous silver foil stampings, with “Turner Ward” on each barrel. Both have been signed in matching silver marker between the name and center brand, with “To K. Mac Best Wishes” appearing on one example. Both bats remain in beautiful condition, with some rubbing and loss to the signature on the notation bat.
