Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
A Grey Cup winner with Calgary in 1998, Jung-Yul Kim played in Alberta from 1996 to 1999. We have a Stampeders jersey worn by the South Korea native during the mid-1990s. A Starter label is affixed to the collar, with a second Starter patch, “94” swatch and size “42” tag residing over the front tail. Styled with “62” rubberized over the front, sleeves and reverse, there is also a “Radically Canadian” CFL patch over the right breast and Centraide crest over the left. We should also note evidence of a former nameplate, and considering the “94” date swatch, the jersey was recycled for Kim’s use from an older set. A few faint marks are visible over the lower front, with dark marks present over the right shoulder along with a few yellowish streaks on the upper reverse. There is also a large V-shaped team repair over the lower reverse.
