Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
Great pair of vintage goalie masks from the late-1960s and early-1970s saw action in the Quebec Junior Hockey League. One of the masks evokes the look of a similar mask worn by HOFer Rogie Vachon with the Montreal Canadiens featuring a larger and more pronounced nose. It measures 8 1/2" x 6 1/4" with vintage light foam padding strips still affixed to the interior. The other mask has a look that appears to have evolved from the first Jacques Plante mask. It measures 9” x 7” with a small crack at the strap opening on the back edge of the top, and it also has most of its vintage foam pad strips, though none on the chin. A cool pair of early fiberglass finds for your collection.
