A fifth round draft choice of Montreal in 1988, defenceman Peter Popovic played in 5 seasons with the Habs before moving on to single seasons with the Rangers, Pittsburgh and Boston. This Canadiens jersey was worn by the Swede in the mid-1990s, circa 1994-95. A faded Maska Ultrafil label along with a size “58” fly tag sit affixed to the collar, with embroidered NHL and CCM crests on the back bottom hem. Styled with the gorgeous and famous Habs CH team crest fashioned completely from tackle twill, the white V-neck has been embellished with dual-colour sleeve and verso numbers along with the alternate’s “A” in matching material. Faint board burns along with small areas of paint transfer grace each sleeve, with some light fraying to the team crest. There is also pilling to the right inner sleeve, along with 8 team repairs present, with 5 on the left sleeve, 2 on the right along with a single example on the upper reverse. An LOA from the Canadiens’ organization will accompany.
