Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
Backstopping the Prince Albert Raiders for four seasons during the mid-to-late-1990s, goaltender Evan Lindsay was drafted by Montreal in 1999, and we offer a jersey issued to the Red Deer native for training camp/preseason use in 1999-00. Pro Player and size “G58” labels (goalie cut) are affixed to the collar, with Pro Player and NHL crests over the reverse hem. Styled with the most famous team crest in hockey, “41” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in layered tri-colour tackle twill, with “Lindsay” across the affixed nameplate in single blue twill. The NHL 2000 crest is also sewn just above the right breast. Issued but never worn, there is some minor staining along the bottom hem, but this doesn’t appear to originate from game-use. An LOA from the Montreal Canadiens will accompany, and we should note the team erroneously listed the player as Bill Lindsay instead of Evan Lindsay.
