Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
Forever intertwined within the historic fabric of the Montreal Canadiens as the franchise’s 24th captain, Vincent Damphousse is further immortalized as the player to score the historic first goal at the Molson Centre, on March 16, 1996. From the mid-1990s, we have a Canadiens alternate captain’s jersey issued to the Montreal native (Damphousse wore the alternate’s “A” in both 1994-95 and 1995-96). A single size “56” fly tag is affixed to the collar, with embroidered CCM and NHL crests over the reverse hem. Styled with the most famous team crest in hockey, “25” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in layered tackle twill, with “Damphousse” across the affixed nameplate in single white twill. Game-issued, the jersey remains in gorgeous like-new condition. An LOA from the Montreal Canadiens will accompany.
