Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
A product of the famous North Dakota Fighting Sioux hockey program, Murray Baron was drafted by Philadelphia and spent his first two NHL seasons with the club, followed by seasons with four other teams including Montreal. From his lone season with the Habs in 1996-97, we have a Canadiens jersey worn by the Prince George native. A sewn-down Maska label resides along the collar with a size “58” fly tag, with embroidered CCM and NHL crests over the reverse hem. Styled with the most famous team crest in hockey, “36” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in layered tackle twill, with “Baron” across the affixed nameplate in single white twill. Sporting light game-use with a few very faint burn marks visible on each sleeve, the jersey was recycled, showing evidence of a former longer nameplate, with Gerry Fleming wearing the #36 jersey in 1994 and 1995. An LOA from the Montreal Canadiens will accompany.
