Taking lengthy time and resources to build, we offer an especially large collection of black and white Montreal Canadiens postcards totaling approx 422 and spanning from the 1950s to 1970s (the bulk appear to be from the 1960s), with an additional approx 85 items that include specialty postcards, original vintage photos, advertising trade cards and more. The black and white postcards are all blank-backed, with examples with and without facsimile signatures, with all the biggest Habs HOF stars of the day featured including the Rocket, Pocket Rocket, Plante, Beliveau, Harvey, Moore, Geoffrion, Johnson and others - with heavy duplication for most. The additional items include a Claude Provost business card, approx 20 vintage black and white photos including examples featuring Plante with family and with his bride, Habs in the 1940s in street clothes, the Rocket playing baseball with kids and more. The majority of the postcards show light to moderate handling wear, with condition ranging for the additional items, with most in very good condition or better.
The specialty postcards total approx 28 and include numerous Molson, Dow and O'Keefe examples of the Rocket and Beliveau, highlighted by 1950s Dow colour postcards of Harvey and Geoffrion, with each still sporting it's unperforated border. The additional items include a few Rocket trade cards and premiums along with other Canadiens goodies.
