Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
Continuing as an amateur club after the owners of the Ottawa Hockey Association decided they could no longer operate within the NHL, the Ottawa Senators played in the QAHA from 1934 to 1941, and in the Quebec Senior Hockey League from 1941 to 1954. This lot offers a great collection of Senators black and white press photos totaling 56, with 19 8 ½” x 10 ½” photos from the circa late-1940s including netminder Legs Fraser, 35 8” x 10” photos from the late-1940s/early-1950s, with each having the players name affixed in print, including Burega, Leclair, Gravelle, Riopelle, Arundel, Guidolin, Regan and others. There is also an original Ottawa Evening Citizen envelope from 1951 that accompanies. The majority of the photos display well with light handling wear as well as the odd corner ding, crease or blemish.
