Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
Originally thought to have been produced as store displays and acquired through a mail-away promotion according to the side panel of period General Mills cereal boxes, this collection contains 4 of the 6 posters issued by the confectioner during the 1966-67 NHL season. A trio of prominent HOF members are present including two in their All-Star jerseys, with Gordie Howe, Henri Richard, Frank Mahovlich and Bobby Rousseau. At 16” x 20”, each displays beautifully, with Howe, Richard and Mahovlich all in vintage frames, possibly done when the posters were new, with no unsightly creasing, tears or damage visible. The frames themselves all show very heavy wear with considerable chipping.
