Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019

Nice uniforms from the now-defunct Montreal Rocket of the Quebec Major Junior League. The Rocket lasted four seasons in the “Q” from 1999-2003 and were named after HOF Habs superstar Maurice “Rocket” Richard. If you look closely at the front crests of these uniforms, you can make out the number “9” formed by the smoke behind the rocket, with this a tip-of-the-hat to the team’s namesake. This pair of Rocket uniforms hail from 2001-02, with one sweater worn by Jeff MacAulay, the other, Sylvain Angers. Produced by Nike, each sweater has “56” sizing along the collar, with CHL crests over the reverse hem. Accented with red-over-blue tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, each jersey shows signs of former nameplates, with former crests present over the left breast now removed. Each also sports nice use, with marks present on both jerseys – heavier on the MacAulay – with pilling over both collars. An LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
