Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016

Guy Lafleur’s late-1970s Canadiens jersey displays his iconic No. 10 sewn on the back and both sleeves in white and blue double twill. Wilson size 44 tagging in the collar is the correct size for a Lafleur jersey of that era and the "77" chain-stitched season patch sewn inside the right front hem is the same as other Habs gamers from that set. There is a garter-style fight strap, and no nameplate or sign of ever having had one. Tagged "77" inside the hem for 1977-78, the placement of the sleeve numbers inside the stripes suggest this jersey could probably be a sample prepared to show the team a model of jersey for a following season. A nice vintage Guy Lafleur jersey which will make for a great display piece without spending the big bucks needed to buy an actual Lafleur gamer of that era.
There are marks on the white twill of the numbers on the back and two tiny unrepaired holes in the fabric on the right sleeve near the cuff.
