Justifiably proud of their Stanley Cup champion Flyers, the City of Philadelphia honoured the 1974 and 1975 championship teams in style. These two prized items from Ed Van Impe's personal collection feature the veteran defenceman's City of Philadelphia diploma of a special resolution commemorating the Broad Street Bullies' 1974 Stanley Cup win and Van Impe's plaque from the City of Philadelphia proclaiming 1975 as "The Year of the Flyers II" in honour of the team's second straight Cup win. Comes with Ed Van Impe's signed LOA. Two-page 1974 resolution is displayed in the centerfold of an 11” x 7 1/4" blue leatherette cover with “Council of the City of Philadelphia” in gold lettering and the seal of the city. The cover has a couple of diagonal marks with a bit of whitish staining on the upper right corner of the back cover. There are light stains on each of the two pages of the resolution. The 1975 Wood plaque measures 14 1/2" x 11” and it features a black with silver lettering “City of Philadelphia Proclamation” plaque with Van Impe’s full name along with “The Year of the Flyers II” proclamation, mayor Frank Rizzo’s facsimile signature and the Seal of the City of Philadelphia. There are a few scratches through the bottom of the plaque and a couple of light marks that do not diminish its display.
