Yankees immortals Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig formed the most devastating one-two punch ever in any baseball batting order. The backbone of New York’s Murderer’s Row featured the Babe batting third and Gehrig in the cleanup spot. Ouch! This tremendous vintage framed photograph displays the two Hall of Fame sluggers shaking hands in a 1930s pose that displays to about 19” x 14 1/2" as presented in its 20 1/2" x 16 1/4" frame. Comes with an LOA that details that the provenance of this wonderful framed Ruth and Gehrig photo was from the wife of actor James Barton, who is credited with introducing Ruth to his future wife, Claire, in 1923.
