Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
Gary Roberts, who would hoist the Stanley Cup as a member of the Calgary Flames in 1989 and suit for a sensational 1224 regular season games with six different NHL before calling it quits in 2009, has signed his game-used Hespeler with gold marker, with the signature extending more than seven inches across the untaped blade. Heavy game marks line the shaft of this two-piece wand, reaching as far as the original greenish blue-taped knob. “Roberts” is stamped on in two different places – on the upper shaft, and above the heel of the blade. This all-star forward would garner an impressive 910 points over the course of his career, which includes a 53-goal season in ’91-92 with the Calgary Flames. A nice game-used stick from important and respected long-time veteran who suited up for the Carolina Hurricanes from 1997 to 2000.
