Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
A couple of dandy Richmond Sockeyes game-worn jerseys from the 1980s offered, featuring a black gamer with red and white trim with a rubberized heat-pressed team crest on the front and a sewn-on double tackle twill number “2” on the back and on both sleeves. This gamer has a number “12” patch sewn on the right breast as well. Not a lot of game-wear showing on the jersey, but the back and sleeve numbers have some puckering. The white Sockeyes gamer, with number “4” on the back and on both sleeves, also has the number “12” on the right breast but this one is rubberized and heat-pressed as opposed to the sewn-on version on the black jersey. This gamer also shows light wear with a small scattering of marks on the right sleeve. The Sockeyes played in the BCHL from 1979 to 1990, finishing first in the league 3 times and capturing the BCHL title in 1987. The franchise would ultimately transfer to Chilliwack in 1990.
