Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
The great Luc Robitaille used this Sher-Wood gamer in circa 1989, an era when Lucky Luc was racking up 46 goals in ’88-89 and 52 in ’89-90 on his way to 668 total over 1431 regular season games, which ultimately put him into the HOF (ind. 2009). Featuring original tape on the blade and knob, this game-used stick has “Robitaille 20” stamped on the upper blade, while closer to the heel is a series of stamped-on numbers including the date which appears to be “1989” but is impossible to ascertain. The stick also shows a scattering of marks from blade to knob. A fine game-used stick from one of the greatest left wingers ever, and who would have his Kings jersey retired in 2007.
