Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014

The great Dave Keon would carry on in the WHA after his acclaimed 15-years with the Toronto Maple Leafs had ended, and it was with the Minnesota Fighting Saints in the ’75-76 campaign that he used this wooden Sher-Wood that has its original blade tape removed but retains the original black knob tape. A small scattering of marks are on this beauty, and along with a stamped “D. Keon 14” on the upper shaft is a nearby Keon signature signed in clear blue ballpoint pen which appears to have a thin coating of lacquer on it for protection. Keon was one of the classiest and smoothest of all centermen of his generation, and this is a fine game-used stick from the man inducted into the HOF in 1986.
