Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
Former NHLers gathered in the 1980s to skate, shoot, and have a barrel of laughs on and off the ice, and from this era of Oldtimer appearances are 10 game-worn jerseys, 8 of which are Red Wings-style gamers ,1 Leafs, and 1 with Leafs colors but with added yellow stripes. All 10 have heat-pressed logos and numbers, with names on sewn-on nameplates. The Leafs gamer, with "Toronto NHL Orion Oldtimers" on the front, was worn by HOFer Norm Ullman (ind. 1982), and Ullman has signed his name in clear black marker on the back below his number "7". A classic red and white (with "NHL Oldtimers" on the front) was also worn by Ullman who wore number "8" with the seasoned squad. Other Detroit-type Oldtimers gamers here are from Smith, Moulton, Walmsley, Bolton, and Wall, while 2 - numbers "25" and "26", are nameless, as is the blue, white, and gold gamer that reads on the front as "NHL All-Stars Oldtimers" and "Labatt" number "22" on the back. Most of these jerseys have early-1980s Maska tagging in the collar, and all remain in great shape with various game marks scattered about but of course not in large numbers as these guys were certainly trying to stay injury-free.
