Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014

The WHA Toronto Toros may have had some gunners during their 3-year existence, guys like Mahovlich, Dillon, and Carleton, but always near the top of the team’s scoring parade was British-born centerman Gavin Kirk. We have Gavin’s sensational Toros game-worn jersey from the 1974-75 campaign, tagged in the collar as a Maska and featuring the gorgeous and embroidered Toros logo on the front and sleeves, and his alternate captain’s “A” sewn on the left breast. On the back, above Gavin’s #11, is the outline of where the removed nameplate once was. Game wear shows in marks and material pulls scattered about, and team repairs are found below the front collar, one on the right sleeve, several on the left, and another above the front hem. As well, the bottom areas of the back “11” have separated slightly. A tremendous battle-scarred WHA jersey from a very fine player. Comes with an LOA.
